Uganda Gorillas & Lake Mburo 5 days


 Day one:
Start your safari by departing Kampala or Entebbe on a 4 hour road transfer towards Lake Mburo National Park. The safari guide will be on hand to drive through the Uganda Equator and some areas of interest before heading to the National park. Arrive for a mid morning game drive viewing some game before lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Mburo to find crocodiles, Hippo and the occasional Sitatunga before dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge or Mantana Tented Camp.


Day Two:
Morning breakfast before starting the morning walking safari on the African Savannah plains. The guide will be following wildlife on foot and explaining the ecosystems of the park. You will be able to get closer to Zebra, Eland, Topi, Cape Buffalo, Impala and other wildlife. Later, your safari vehicle will meeting you and transfer through the Mountains to the Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the Gorilla Resort.


Day Three:
You may opt to have your breakfast at your Balcony overlooking the Impenetrable forest or at the main dinning area. Later, your safari guide will drive or walk with you to the park gate for a morning briefing prior to the start of the days Gorilla trekking. The Mountain gorillas will be tracked by the forest guides and one hour will be allocated for viewing and taking pictures. Later, have a picnic lunch and transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the Gorilla Resort.


Day Four:
After breakfast, drive north through Queen Elizabeth National park. Along the way, you may see Elephant herds roaming the vast plains before the Kazinga Village, Topi grazing by the roadside, Uganda Kobs keeping their territories and holding off other challengers, Tree climbing Lions lazily napping in the fig trees , Warthogs and birds are also a common feature along this drive. After lunch, drive to Mbarara arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Lake view Resort Hotel.


Day Five:
After breakfast, depart through the almost bare savannah mountains alongside the Lake Victoria shores. From mpigi, the shortcut through the remote countryside ends at Entebbe airport where you will check in into your outbound flight following a 4-5 hour transit.
