Uganda Safaris: Called the pearl of Africa, offers great opportunities for your gorilla adventure. With a permit costing USD 500 per person, you are allowed to track the mountain gorillas ( Gorilla berengei berengei ) in the Bwindi impenetrable forest in the south western part of Uganda. The gorillas live in families and so you may be advised to visit a gorilla group depending on the availability of permits.

Rwanda Safaris: A land of thousand mills has its top tourist attraction as the mountain gorillas in Virunga where about 300 gorillas stay on this extinct volcano called Parc De Volcanoes or PNV, a centre where Dian Fossey set up her research centre for the gorilla conservation programs.
