Gorilla Tracking in Uganda and Rwanda, Tracking Permits, info and Accommodation

 

 

Gorilla tracking involves a lot of preparation before you can engage yourself in one,

Gorilla tracking permits, A permit to see the mountain gorillas cost USD 500 per person whether in Uganda or Rwanda. Its hard to arrange a permit by yourself.  Take note that Uganda Wildlife Authority does not accept credit cards. This therefore requires you to contact a local tour operator who can book your permit.  This permit is valid for one day and points to a particular gorilla group that you have been given to track.

 

 

Mountain  gorilla tracking tour itinerary., How long?

Tracking the gorillas can be done in one day but to allow time for preparation and getting to the park, a minimum of 3 days is reccommended to cover your whole  gorilla safari . That is, the first day, you drive to the park, second day early morning, you track the gorillas and then third day, you come back to Kampala and head for your home destination.  Gorilla trekking

If you have more days, you can combine your gorilla safari with a visit to other national parks like Queen Elizabeth,  Murchison Falls national park, Lake Mburo, Rwenzori mountains and so much more. The Tour operators can arrange that for you at a cost.
