Uganda Safaris: Called the pearl of Africa, offers great opportunities for your gorilla adventure. With a permit costing USD 500 per person, you are allowed to track the mountain gorillas ( Gorilla berengei berengei ) in the Bwindi impenetrable forest in the south western part of Uganda. The gorillas live in families and so you may be advised to visit a gorilla group depending on the availability of permits.

GORILLA SAFARIS

If you are getting ready for a gorilla safari to Uganda and Rwanda, the following tips have been prepared for you so that you have a successful vacation holiday in Africa. A safari to see the gorillas in the mist is not like any other safari to Africa. It requires planning and careful selection of what you need and what you may never need. There are limitations as well and a few strict rules to follow.

These projects help to fund the endangered lowland gorillas, western lowland and also the mountain gorillas.

 

Did you know?
In a gorilla group, there is only one adult male called the Silverback gorilla with many females. When the male young gorillas grow up, they run away to form their own families.
